We set a virtual world record by jumping 248.7 m

Have you ever wanted to fly like a bird? And what about flying like our Slovenian eagles? More than 850 visitors to Planica and the Citypark shopping centre in Ljubljana jumped from the virtual ski jumping hill for the first time in their life and had incredible fun. But the absolute winner of the competition was Marjeta, who shocked everyone present and jumped an incredible 248,7 m.

Visitors to the legendary venue in Planica, where ski jumpers bring to a close the competition season every year, and shoppers in the CityPark shopping centre in Ljubljana enjoyed the virtual ski jumping experience. Some enjoyed it so much they even refused to get off the device. Together they jumped more than 255,300 metres and set a virtual world record of 248.7 m. The best jumpers received a gift. The first three competitors in the virtual ranking - Marjeta Blazinšek, Alex Kovačič and Nina Kerpan - received a set of official clothing of the Ski Association of Slovenia, and among all those who participated we drew 20 prize winners, who received winter hats of Zavarovalnica Triglav, and 224 prize winners, who received a one-month access to pass VOYA.

Oculus Rift, which currently offers the most authentic and best possible experience and is the closest to actual jumping on the large hill, conquered the hearts of young and old.

In the video below you can watch the highlights of the event and maybe you will find yourself in it too.
